"If a picture is worth 1,000 words, a prototype is worth 1,000 meetings."
– Tom and David Kelley, Creative Brothers at IDEO
I make sure every design decision is rooted in a thoughtful strategy. But once I start putting pen to paper, I get from rough sketches to prototypes with efficiency. The quicker we can test something that feels real and improve based on what we learn, the better.
My Verizon
I was part of an AKQA team that overhauled every aspect of Verizon's existing app based on a simpler business model and a focus on younger users. From wireframes and designs to detailed specifications, we created clean, digestible presentations and prototypes to show consistent progress and track each screen along an aggressive timeline.
Planned Parenthood
At Bluprint, I worked with Planned Parenthood to help create its first online clinician consultation services—a huge breakthrough in this space. I created user flows and screens to demonstrate how one product could allow users to get birth control, STD test kits, and emergency contraception in the mail, book appointments, and chat with clinicians in real time. As part of the effort to promote these online services, I crafted a landing page and an advertising campaign as well.
Mitchell & Ness
Working with Irvine-based Envoy, I created user personas, a sitemap, and wireframes to help Mitchell & Ness, a legendary brand in the sports fashion world, upgrade its eCommerce experience to match its well-earned reputation for high quality and authenticity. As a sports fan from Philadelphia—where M&N is based—this one was special for me. The end result was a shopping experience that combined the right mix of modernity, ease of navigation, and depth of storytelling.
Houlihan Lawrence
I worked with CO OP to help Westchester's real estate leader, Houlihan Lawrence, make life easier for buyers, and turn a frustrating process into an exciting journey. We created a responsive, Webby-recognized website that helped a 125-year-old company stay ahead of the curve in providing a superior customer experience.
Fortune Magazine
Working with Big Human, I provided UX support and wrote detailed specifications to help Fortune Magazine launch its first independent site outside of the CNNMoney umbrella. We overhauled the renowned Fortune 500, incorporating an infinite scroll and giving each company the spotlight it deserves—and simplified data so that it could truly tell a compelling story.
Time Warner
Time Warner asked Big Human to help them overhaul their corporate website. I provided UX support for the navigation and core pages, including an easy-to-use filter system for finding any Time Warner-owned movie or show. We created a simple, intuitive experience that modernized the Time Warner brand and highlighted the full spectrum of programs.
